    Description

    This beautifully made vintage cake form is from the town of Bürgel in the Thuringia province of Germany.
    Bürgel is noted for its high quality ceramics since the 15th century, a tradition of excellence that continues to the present day. The hand-painted decoration is in the raised engobe technique.
    This piece was made around 1985 by PGH Kunsthandwerk Bürgel, Meisterbereich (master area?) Fischer or Friedel.
